The Lodge at Manito Assisted Living Community Joins the Tutera Brand

In 2017, a small town in Illinois took a rare step to build the only county-funded assisted living community in the state. Now, The Lodge at Manito in Manito, Illinois will be one of 70 Tutera Senior Living & Health Care communities.

“We are excited by the opportunity to combine our years of senior living experience with an existing well-operated community to achieve superior outcomes for the residents at The Lodge at Manito,” said Randy Bloom, President and Chief Operating Officer of Tutera. “The health department took initiative in providing quality health care to its older residents, and we’re honored to build off their success.”

The Lodge at Manito, an assisted living and memory care community, is located on eight acres of land at 1303 South East Avenue in Manito, IL. The vision for the creation of The Lodge was to provide adults 62 and older a community in which to live that provides the assistance needed to live safely and securely all while maintaining as much independence as possible. The Lodge offers spacious apartments that can be furnished and decorated to personal taste. The Lodge also features a specifically designed memory care neighborhood for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.

The uniquely designed building includes 24 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care suites surrounding a large courtyard.

Each of the private apartments at The Lodge features plenty of natural lighting, a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower bench and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning units in each room, and an emergency alert nurse call system.

In addition, The Lodge has a large community room, a private dining room, an outdoor living area, library, activity room, theatre, hair salon and other amenities.

An on-site medical clinic is the most unique feature of the community. This clinic is managed by Mason District Hospital and available to residents at The Lodge for any provider establishment or needs.
